The journey began with a series of conversations between Delphine Jelk, Guerlain’s Perfume Creation Director, and the sound experts at IRCAM Amplify. Together, they explored the Guerlinade—the iconic six-ingredient blend of jasmine, bergamot, rose, vanilla, tonka bean, and iris that forms the backbone of every Guerlain fragrance. Each note was studied, translated, and carefully matched with its own musical signature.
As the delicate architecture of Shalimar took shape, these sonic counterparts formed a symphony that revealed each scent in harmony with its sound. The result was a multisensory experience unveiled at Paris VivaTech 2025, where visitors discovered perfume through an interplay of music, scent, and light—inviting them into a new dimension of olfactory exploration.
